Here at Photofold Camera Club, we are constantly engaging in events and club outings with various different clubs within the photography community.

Throughout the numerous COVID-19 lock-downs, we were still actively engaging with our members through holding Zoom presentation evenings as well as competitions.

As we begin to get back to normality, we hope to get back to competing in local as well as national events once again.

Photofold Annual Photography Exhibition

The Photofold Annual Photography Exhibition was held on Saturday 31st August 2024 and was open to the public between 10:00 – 16:00 at The Chantry Centre CM11 2AP just off Billericay High Street. Prints as well as digitally projected images were on display featuring many different genres of photography. At the exhibition visitors could :-

Enter a raffle to win their favourite print from the exhibition
Buy and enjoy homemade Cakes, Tea and Coffee
Purchase the Exhibition Prints and Greeting Cards
Seek advice from experienced members on their photographic related issues.

Schools Photographic Competition 2024

Every year Photofold Camera Club organises a schools photographic competition for 7 – 11 year olds. Twenty-one new cameras were purchased in 2018 for the schools to use. This was made possible due to a gratefully received donation from the Billericay Round Table.

Three local schools entered in 2024 with pupils taking the photographs from 3rd June until 15th July and the exhibition was held in the children's section of Billericay Library from 2nd September until the 16th September, the prize giving was held in Billericay Library at 10am on Saturday 7th September. Mark Thomas Chair of Billericay Town Council presented the awards.

The photographs were judged by Chris Thurman OBE.
