Tribute Page

Please view the galleries below celebrating three of our late member’s photography work, they are no longer with us but never forgotten, through these photographs their memory lives on.

In July 2019 we sadly lost Brian Reynolds, one of our members who passed away after being diagnosed with a terminal illness. Even when Brian was unwell he never missed a Tuesday evening at the camera club. He really enjoyed listening to the various speakers and the presentations by club members. Brian was a kind natured man who made time to listen to others, the perfect father or grandfather figure, he will be so missed by all those who got to know him over the years. The first photograph below highlights Brian’s lifelong passion for the motorbike, showing a meeting at the Battlesbridge museum, the other two were taken when he was in good health and joining in on Photofold outings that he really enjoyed.

The photographs below were taken by John Westwood who was a member of Photofold Camera Club until he passed away in January 2019. John joined the club in 2015 and regularly submitted photographs in club competitions. His style of photography was varied and covered many genres of the subject as demonstrated by the images displayed. He will be sadly missed by all that knew him but not forgotten.

The Photographs below were taken by Dave Smith a long time member of Photofold Camera Club who passed away during 2018. Dave helped to keep things going by supplying tea and coffee for club members during the interval on club nights. He was one of the old school photographers and although he entered digitally produced images into competitions he seemed to prefer the days of film and developing photographs himself. A very well thought of and sadly missed member of our club.
