About Us
Our photography club has an extensive programme including presentations from top class photographers covering all genres as well as club competitions throughout the season which runs from September to June.
All competitions are appraised by a suitably qualified judge who will give helpful critique of each image.
We have regular club day outings, usually once a month, as well as a small number of extended 4-5 day trips to locations further afield such as the Lake District.
Come along to our club evenings and be ensured of a friendly welcome. We meet on a Tuesday evening at 20:00-22:00 in the Chantry Centre just off Billericay high street.

27th Jan - 'Composition and Catastrophe' by Chris Shepherd Two separate half-evening technical talks, making for an evening where beginners and experts alike can learn (or be reminded) of something.
3rd Feb - Print Portfolio Competition. A SET OF THREE PRINTS ON ONE THEME. Judged by Simon Shore
10th Feb - An evening for club members, may include tuition, presentations, discussions or workshops. Details to be published later.
17th Feb - DPI* Portfolio Competition. A SET OF THREE IMAGES ON ONE THEME. Judged by Jonathan Vaines LRPS CPAGB
24th Feb - 'Me, Myself and Eye' by Jonathan Vaines LRPS CPAGB This is the second in a set of three presentations - it follows the stunning 'The Little Print Show' that Jonathan brought us in 2024.
3rd Mar - Zoom Presentation 'Dare to be Different (Don't be shy). By Lisa Rendell. Lisa enjoys being a rebel with the camera, exploring and expressing her own imagination by mixing different styles and genres into one -especially in ICM. Lisa has won a number of UK and international awards.
10th Mar - Print Competition No. 4. Judged by Barbie Lindsay MPAGB EFIAP/s FBPE
17th Mar - We are hosting the Interclub battle between Photofold Camera Club and Chelmsford Camera Club. Judged by David Wheeler.
24th Mar - DPI Competition No. 4. THIS IS A THEMED COMPETITION - THE THEME IS 'MOVEMENT'. Judged by Darren Woolway ARPS AMPA BA(Hons).
31st Mar - 'The Essex Project ' by Justin Minns FRPS Justin's presentation takes a look at how the vague idea of a project to photograph the quieter parts of the Essex coast snowballed into the subject of two books and an FRPS panel
