June 2019 Outing

Wakehurst Gardens Outing

Monday 17th June 2019

10 of us went first to Holly Farm to see Stephen Dalton, a famous photographer who takes images of insects in flight.

We had a walk in his wood and took a few photographs of the insects. Then back to the house and he showed us his studio and his equipment. We all thought it was great visit.

Then we went to the Wakehurst wild botanical garden. A large area with many different landscapes and flowers, generally much wilder than most gardens.

There were lakes and forests, and areas with wild flowers.

As usual we all enjoyed the trip.

Best Wishes,
