November 2018 Outing

Framlingham Castle & Woodbridge Outing

19th November 2018

A small group this time, just five of us, and we left at a reasonable time. The weather forecast was not great and when we arrived at Framlingham it was quite dull so we went into the Dancing Goat café for coffee and a bacon sandwich.

Then off to the Castle and the weather improved. From then on we were very lucky because there were some heavy showers but we managed to be in the right place at the right time to avoid them. The Castle was closed but there was a good walk around the Mere with views of the Castle and the College, and a rainbow for a while.

Then to the Church of St Michael the Archangel. Lunch in the town and we had then planned to go to Colchester but we changed our mind and headed for Woodbridge instead.

The rain thundered down when we got there so we waited in the car until it stopped. Then the sun came out and there were some good views of the River Deben.

As usual we all enjoyed the trip and look forward to the next one.
