Welcome to Photofold Camera Club
You do not need to be an expert photographer to be a member of Photofold, just a keen interest in photography!
People of all ages, whether they be beginner or experienced are more than welcome!
We are a friendly club and all our members have a wide range of experience in both film and digital mediums. We are extremely pleased to share the benefit of this experience with other members to help them achieve more from their photography!
As a member of the East Anglian Federation of Photographic Societies, we also meet with other clubs from the region in competitions, and so get to see the work that other photographers are producing.
About Us
Our photography club has an extensive programme including presentations from top class photographers covering all genres as well as club competitions throughout the season which runs from September to June.
All competitions are appraised by a suitably qualified judge who will give helpful critique of each image.
We have regular club day outings, usually once a month, as well as a small number of extended 4-5 day trips to locations further afield such as the Lake District.
Come along to our club evenings and be ensured of a friendly welcome. We meet on a Tuesday evening at 20:00-22:00 in the Chantry Centre just off Billericay high street.

29th Apr - 'Curves' by Thomas Peck LRPS CPAGB This is an interactive talk and designed to show members how to improve their post-processing skills with a focus on curves. Tom is promising an informative and fun evening with no jargon!
6th May - DPI* Competition No. 5 'BILL'S CHOICE'** Judged by Graham Parry
13th May - 'Creative Photography' by Barbie Lindsay MPAGB EFIAP/s FBPE Barbie will begin with 'in camera creativity' and follow through to multiple layered shots. She will also share with us where she gets her ideas from and will finish with mobile device creativity.
20th May Print Competition No. 6 Judged by Caroline Preece LRPS
27th May An evening for Club members, may include tuition, presentations, discussions or workshops. Details to be published later.
3rd June Zoom Presentation 'Wildlife Photography Part 2' by Tracey Lund FBIPP FSINWP FMPA ARPS ANPS DPAGB QEP AFIAP BPE 1* QPSA Presentation Tracey treated us to 'Part 1' in January 2021 and is now back with 'Part 2'.In this she will be showcasing a selection of images from Alaska, Canada, Yellowstone, India, Zimanga and UK hides as well as some stories/ experiences she encountered along the way.
